Haunting Nights are taking you on a series of terrifying ghost hunts and interactive ghost walks

July and August have several significant dates relating to the English witch trial of the 1600s and we are taking you on ghost adventures to the epicentre of these infamous witch trials and where many poor souls lost their lives for being a ‘Witch’

In The Summer of 1612 on the 18th and 19th August the accused witches were on trial in Lancaster at Lancaster Castle where 9 were found guilty of being a witch

On the 20th August they were publicly hanged on gallows hill high above the city of Lancaster, where they still remain today

During the sixteenth century whole districts in some parts of Lancashire seemed contaminated with the presence of witches; men and beasts were supposed to languish under their charm, and the delusion which preyed alike on the learned and the vulgar did not allow any family to suppose that they were beyond the reach of the witch’s power.

The trials of the Pendle witches in 1612 are among the most famous  witch trials in English history, and some of the best recorded of the 17th century.

The twelve accused lived in the area surrounding Pendle Hill in Lancashire, and were charged with the murders of ten people by the use of witchcraft

These special anniversary interactive ghost walk will lasts around 2 hours and will have some walking involved.

We will be using different ghost hunting techniques on the actual walk.
